Written by Steve Sherman, SKILL BALANCING helps guide you through the process of understanding your skills and talents and how to adjust and enhance them so you can actually maximize fun at work! With easy-to-read text and fascinating chart illustrations, SKILL BALANCING makes for very curious reading. Designed to tap into your own experiences, you will learn what it takes to help you change how you look at work, work your work and play at work! Review by Bart Smith, http://www.DoingGreatBusiness.com (My thanks to Bart Smith and also to Eva Almeida for the above review!) Skill Balancing: How to Play for Pay! is the first, at least from what Ive read, to define FUN at work , theorize the skill curve associated with it, and develop ways to maximize it. I found it refreshing and useful at work, especially the tunneling theory. I can even apply it to my daily life. Fun can be everywhere! For people who are working, if you find it difficult to apply Steves Skill Balancing, well, its very likely that you are working at a wrong place! -Teng-chi Yang (I've worked with Teng-chi "Eric" Yang. He's an excellent engineer!) Reviews for "Skill Balancing: How to Enjoy School!": "I think it is readable, interesting, fun ... and
applicable to students everywhere. It may indeed reach those students
who need the most help but can't or won't listen to parents, teachers,
guidance counselors, etc. If read and applied, your book could help
every student reach their potential -- wouldn't that be neat!" "Looks good! I think the illustrations are great.
I just like looking at them. Ira is great! The parts I liked best were
the parts where you actually told stories. Great effort!" Skill Balancing: How to Enjoy School! is a practical and helpful guide for high school and beginning college students who want to master the art of doing well and having fun while pursuing their studies. Steve Shermans sometimes unusual recommendations (e.g., An A for Every C and applying Sun Tzus war strategies to homework) make for interesting reading and will challenge conventional thinking about what it takes to succeedin school and at work. Every high school kid should read this. - David Foster, Executive Coach "I interviewed Steve Sherman, author of "Skill
Balancing: How to Enjoy Work!" on the Inside Success Show
and enjoyed every moment. His passion for helping people to proactively
create more enjoyment at work, combined with his wisdom in sharing
examples and stories, really made for a great interview. I would highly
recommend him for any show. "Randy Gilbert home | articles | humor | faq | contact |
